Our bumpers, rock sliders, bash plates, and storage systems are built from heavy-gauge South African steel and aluminium — designed for a lifetime of adventure, not just the showroom.
This trade-in programme is a direct extension of that commitment. When you're ready to upgrade your rig or fit out a new vehicle, your Advanced 4x4 product retains real, guaranteed value. Trail-worn, scratched, or well-preserved — it doesn't matter. The value is locked.
When you buy Advanced 4x4, you're not just buying a bumper. You're buying a product with a guaranteed future value. That's what premium really means.
💰 2. The 50% Trade-In Guarantee
Every Advanced 4x4 manufactured product — bumpers, rock sliders, bash plates, and accessories — is backed by a guaranteed 50% trade-in value against the current Recommended Retail Price, for as long as the programme and product range remain active.
- Guaranteed value: 50% of the current RRP on the day of trade-in — not the price you originally paid, but today's full retail price of the current equivalent product. If the RRP has increased since you bought it, your trade-in value increases with it.
- Condition independent: Trail-worn, scratched, or showroom-fresh — the 50% value applies as long as the product is verified as genuine and structurally intact.
- Discontinued products: If your exact product is no longer in active production, the credit is calculated against the closest current equivalent in that category.
- Category flexibility: Your credit applies toward any current Advanced 4x4 manufactured product in the same category — front bumper to front bumper, bash plate to bash plate — including upgrades for a brand-new vehicle model.
- Full RRP basis only: Trade-in value is calculated on the full, non-discounted RRP. It cannot be combined with seasonal specials, promotional pricing, or discount codes.
📋 3. How to Initiate Your Trade-In
We've kept the process simple, with no hidden surprises:
- Contact us first. Email sales@advanced4x4.co.za or call 021 569 7238. Send a photo of your current fitted product and your vehicle details. Our team confirms eligibility and issues an official Trade-In Reference Number.

Ship to our factory. Trade-ins go directly to our Strand manufacturing facility — fitment centres are not authorised to process trade-ins.
📍 Address: Advanced 4x4, 36 De Kock Street, Strand, Western Cape, 7140. - Verification. Our workshop team inspects and confirms the item as a genuine, structurally sound Advanced 4x4 manufactured product. Usually 2–3 business days.
- Credit applied. Your 50% trade-in credit is applied directly to your new order invoice and processed immediately.
- New product delivered. Manufactured or dispatched and shipped to your door or chosen fitment centre.
⚠️ 4. What's Included — and What's Honestly Not
We'd rather you know the real numbers upfront than be surprised later:
- Retail customers only — trade, fleet, and wholesale accounts are excluded.
- Genuine Advanced 4x4 manufactured products only — third-party partner brands (Victron, Warn, Tough Dog, Quick Pitch, ARTAV) and competitor items are not eligible.
- Courier and logistics costs for returning your old product and receiving the new one are for your account, billed separately.
- Fitment costs at our Strand facility or authorised fitment centres are not included in the trade-in credit and are billed separately.
- No promotional stacking — trade-in credit cannot be combined with seasonal sales, promotional campaigns, or discount codes.
- Advanced 4x4 reserves the right to modify or discontinue this programme with reasonable notice. Trade-in credits already issued remain valid.
None of that is fine print designed to trip you up — it's the honest cost structure behind a guarantee that most manufacturers can't offer at all.
💡 5. Why We Can Make This Guarantee (and Most Importers Can't)
Cheap, universal gear is built to a price — not to survive corrugations, salt air, or years of hard use. When a product is thin-gauge steel with cosmetic welds and no proper coating process, there's nothing left to guarantee two or three years in. It's already cracked, rusted, or been replaced.
Because we design, 3D scan, laser-cut, and weld our products under one roof in South Africa, we know exactly what we're putting our name behind. You can't promise resale value on a product you didn't build and can't verify. We can.
Here's what that looks like in practice: you buy a Jimny front bumper from Advanced 4x4 today. Five years later, you upgrade to a Ford Ranger. The bumper has done 50,000km of trails, taken a few rock hits, and looks every bit the part. You contact us, ship it back, and receive 50% of today's RRP — which may be higher than what you originally paid — as credit toward your Ranger bumper.
