Advanced 4x4 didn't start in a boardroom. It started in 2004 with a welder, a passion for the bush, and a simple problem — Terrence Reinders wanted a proper bumper for his 4x4.

Terrence wasn't trying to build a business. He was a 4x4 and overlanding enthusiast who competed on the trails and knew that the gear available simply wasn't good enough. So he built his own. Then he built one for a friend. Word spread the way it always does in the 4x4 community — quietly, honestly, and through trust earned on the track. One bumper became many, and a brand was born.

For two decades, Advanced 4x4 grew on that foundation — not through marketing, but through metal. Every bumper, every rock slider, every bash plate that left our workshop in Strand carried the same commitment Terrence brought to that very first build: engineer it properly, or don't build it at all.

A New Chapter. The Same Standard.

At the end of 2023, Terrence stepped down — handing the brand he built to a new generation of passionate, driven people with bigger ambitions and the same uncompromising vision. New leadership. New energy. The same obsession with quality that has defined Advanced 4x4 since day one.

We are a deliberately small team. Not because we can't grow — but because we choose not to compromise. Every product that carries the Advanced 4x4 name is built, checked, and backed by people who care deeply about what they make. That will never change.

What We Build

Advanced 4x4 manufactures premium steel, stainless steel, and aluminium 4x4 accessories — engineered for the demands of real off-road and overlanding use across Africa's toughest terrain.

We started as a Jeep specialist — and we remain one of the most trusted names in the Jeep community. But Advanced 4x4 is rapidly expanding across the full spectrum of modern 4x4 and overlanding vehicles, including the Toyota Land Cruiser, Suzuki Jimny, and many more platforms. If you drive it off-road, we're building for it.
