Most South African 4x4s carry more than the factory suspension was built for: a canopy, fridge, drawers, roof load and recovery gear. The result is sagging, a harsh or wallowy ride, and less control on corrugations. Advanced 4x4 supplies and fits suspension from Tough Dog, RAW 4x4 and Airmax (Air Spring Supply) at our Strand workshop.

Frequently asked questions
Should I lift my 4x4 or just stop the sag?
If the rear sags under a canopy, fridge and gear, an Airmax air helper kit or heavier springs may be enough. If you want more ground clearance and better off-road control, a full kit from Tough Dog or RAW 4x4 is the better choice. Tell us how you load and drive and we will advise.
What are strut spacers?
Spacers fit on top of the front struts to raise the front a little. We make them for the Ranger/Everest T6/T7 and Hilux Revo/Vigo. A full suspension kit is usually the better long-term option.
Do I need to tell my insurer about a lift?
It is wise to tell your insurer about any suspension change. Lifting a vehicle changes how it handles, so ask your insurer what they need.
Which vehicles do you have kits for?
Most popular bakkies and SUVs, including Hilux, Ranger, Land Cruiser, D-Max, Jimny and Tank 300. Browse all suspension and lift kits or call us.
