Safety Guidelines

  • Kinetic recovery ropes store significant energy as they stretch - a failure at any point in the recovery system (rope, shackle, or anchor) can release that energy violently.
  • Keep all bystanders and vehicle occupants clear of the direct line path for the full length of the rope plus stretch during any pull.
  • Inspect the full length of the rope for cuts, fraying, or embedded grit before every use, and retire it if damaged.
  • Only attach to manufacturer-rated recovery points on both vehicles - never a tow ball, axle, or unrated part of the chassis.
  • Never exceed the rope's rated capacity, and never use a kinetic rope for winching or static towing.
