Born from a rich pedigree of heavy commercial vehicle engineering by Powerdown, this system replaces fatigued factory coils and failing twin-tube dampers to provide up to 40mm of ground clearance — carefully limited to prevent severe driveline vibrations or requiring an immediate slip-yoke eliminator conversion.
The TJ generation was the first Wrangler to use a quadra-coil live-axle suspension setup in place of traditional leaf springs, and this kit is purpose-engineered for that platform. Whether you’re packing a Quick Pitch Quick-en-Suite Box Unit, permanent rooftop tents, or tracking cross-border over corrugated gravel routes, the upgraded coils and RC-JPTJR-HD Constant-Load Rear Springs stop rear-end sag dead in its tracks. Equipped with heavy-duty charged Nitro shocks with multi-stage velocity-sensitive disk valving calibrated to mitigate the signature nose-dive during braking and highway body roll common to short-wheelbase live-axle Jeeps.

The short-wheelbase Jeep TJ is highly prone to steering feedback issues — commonly known as “death wobble” — when factory steering joints fatigue, particularly after a lift installation. We strongly recommend adding the Heavy-Duty Steering Damper Upgrade (RAW-SD-5011) to your order to eliminate this risk and ensure safe, confident steering on all surfaces.
